On the occasion of the Pride Over the borders of Turin on June 15 th Università degli Studi and Politecnico organized an event in support of the LGBTQI+ community:

The city of Turin has become one of the most favorite destinations of students, also thanks to two of the most appealing universities in Italy: Università degli Studi and Politecnico di Torino. Professor Erica Mangione of the Politecnico di Torino will initiate a reflection on the evolution of Turin as a university city and on the choices of young people when it comes to deciding where to go live. With the attorney Piera Bessi of the
Unione Piccoli Proprietari Immobiliari, the issue of the City’s response to the demand for rental apartment  will be addressed as well.
The meeting will take place in Via Sestriere 34, Torino, on June 11th from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Canova association organizes a workshop from July 2 nd to 10 th in the Villaggio di Ghesc, in the province of Verbania. This school camp is based on the direct learning in the building site. Along with practical work there will be theoretical elaborations for the analysis of the possible technique for the regeneration and adaptation of historical buildings to the national legislation. The “teaching building site” is mainly addressed
to students and recent graduates of Engineering and Architecture degree courses of the Politecnico di Torino, but also students from other universities can participate. Politecnico students can benefit from a reduced price and they will be granted 3 university credits (CFU). The deadline to register is June 20 th .

Applications for 2019/2020 to participate to the Enjoy the Difference (ETD) project are open.
Enjoy the Difference was created in 2011 by a group of students and professors of the Università di Torino,Comune di Torino, Servizio Passepartout and associations. The objective of ETD is to combine the need of students to find an apartment at a reasonable price to the promotion of independent life for people with disabilities, through living solutions and the enrichment of social networks. The project is addressed to students of the Università di Torino and youth with disabilities, and provides house-sharing in Turin.

TorinoGiovani and Servizio LGBT – Città di Torino have launched Piccola guida – Conoscere per Orientarsi, an informative booklet describing terms such as “lgbt+” and their use. In cooperation with Arcigay Torino "Ottavio Mai" and Identità Unite: Collettivo LGBT+.
The guide covers topics such as LGBT rights and citizenship, coming out, homophobia and transphobia, and includes information addressed to boys and girls, to those working in educational contexts with young people and anyone who wants to know more about this topics. For each topic, you will find information regarding the services that are available in the territory.

Are you an architecture, design or engineering student of the Politecnico di Torino?
Participate to the Workshop di Autocostruzione organized by the Imbarchino in Parco del Valentino and the Laboratorio LaSTIn of the Politecnico.
The workshop will take place from June 10 th to 15 th and the purpose is to build a temporary wooden structure that will serve as a location for events and as a public chill-out area inside the Imbarchino building. The deadline to register is June 2 nd and, according to the hours of work, the participants will be granted 1 or 2 CFU (university educational credits).
Requirements:
– Full time/ Part time (morning or afternoon) availability from June 10 th to 15 th
– Motivation letter (10 lines max)
– Registration number and degree course (for the students)
– Motivation and desire to get your hands dirty!

On May 30 th the Scuola di Medicina organized a briefing on how to apply and take the admission tests for degree courses with a limited number of participants on a national level. The briefing will take place at Ospedale Molinette, AOU Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino – Corso Bramante, 88 – Turin.
Reservations must be made no later than 3 days before the date of the event, by emailing orientamento.medicina@unito.it

The deadline to sign up for the competition notice is May 28 th . Only students who are regularly enrolled in Università degli Studi di Torino can apply, in order to obtain a part-time tutoring cooperation with the professors, addressed to first-year students. These tutoring activities will have a duration of 100 or 200 hours and will be assigned during the Academic Year 2019/2020.

On May 25 th the admission tests for Original (five tests) and Academy (one test) will take place at Scuola Holden headquarters.
The admission test will take place in the morning, and the interviews will be in the afternoon.
