If you love nature, Turin is the right choice for you! You can relax and keep fit in many picnic and green areas: the rivers, the hills and many parks offer a wide range for your leisure time. If you prefer training in fitness studio you will find many facilities in town.

Giardini Reali

A short way away from Piazza Castello and Palazzo Nuovo in the city centre, Giardini Reali could be a perfect place for you to relax between classes, to have lunch in a open space or to have a rest after your shopping.

Parco del Valentino

Parco del Valentino is considered “the great shared courtyard” of Turin citizens. This park is a special spot for picnic, a walk, a nice boat trip and for other sport activities such as jogging or cycling. In the park you can also visit the Borgo Medievale, which was built according to the XV century buildings in Piemonte and in Valle d’Aosta.

Parco la Pellerina

Crossed by river Dora Riparia it is the largest park in Turin. It offers the widest dog park in the city and his artificial lakes are full of wild animals. The picnic area also includes picnic tables and barbecues.

Parco Ruffini

Parco Ruffini is the greatest sport park in Turin: over the years along with Palazzetto and the jogging path, more facilities such as tennis, soccer and five-a-side football fields, a skating ring and a skateboard ramp have been built.

Parco Pietro Colletta

The area around Parco Colletta, after a long period of abandon and degradation, was recovered with realisation of a river park. It takes its name from the Lungodora, one of the main River, the Dora river, in town, which delimits the area, named after Pietro Colletta. In the park you can find picnic areas and bicycle tracks running through the park alongside the river benches.

In 2006 it was restored and improved for the Winter Olympic games. The park surrounds the Stadio Olimpico (Olympic stadium) and the Palaolimpico (or Palaisozaki) and it is a special spot for jogging, walks and cycling thanks to 2000 meters track which surrounds the area. In Summer it offers exhibitions, fun and entertainment activities.
