The CoVisions_19 project was carried out as part of the course in History and theory of photography, held by Prof. Roberta Basano at the Dams of the University of Turin. The students of the course, forced to take lessons from home following the Coronavirus emergency, were asked to take photographs that would respond to a key word: isolation. The aim is to reason about the communication possibilities of photography and its language, stimulating creativity and overcoming the physical limits of solitude. All 203 photographs, made by 72 students, have been uploaded to the Instagram page @ covisions_19 and show how a moment of frustration can be used to create art. The initial theme of isolation will be followed by others in the coming days, such as distance, suspension, time and daily life.
Nell’ambito del corso di Storia e teoria della fotografia, tenuto dalla Prof.ssa Roberta Basano al Dams dell’ Università di Torino, è stato realizzato il progetto CoVisions-19. Agli studenti del corso, costretti a seguire le lezioni da casa in seguito all’emergenza Coronavirus, è stato chiesto di realizzare fotografie che rispondessero a una parola chiave: lsolamento. L’obiettivo è quello di ragionare sulle possibilità comunicative della fotografia e sul suo linguaggio, stimolando la creatività e superando i limiti fisici della solitudine.
Tutte le 203 fotografie, realizzate da 72 studenti, sono state caricate sulla pagina Instagram @covisions_19 e mostrano come un momento di frustrazione possa essere usato per creare arte. Al tema iniziale dell’isolamento ne seguiranno altri nei prossimi giorni, come lontananza, sospensione, tempo e quotidiano.

The 74th edition of the National University Championships, in their spring session, which should have taken place in Turin from 22 to 31 May 2020, was postponed to a date to be decided.The decision was made by the CUSI (Italian University Sports Center), represented by President Antonio Dima, and the Turin University Sports Center, represented by President Riccardo D’Elicio, as organizing body, following the persistence of the emergency linked to the Coronavirus epidemic present in our country, taking into account the measures issued by the state administration and by local authorities. These are the words of the Turin President: “It is an inevitable choice given the dramatic situation that is being faced in Italy and throughout the world. University sport can only respect and share the decisions taken by institutions, given the exceptional nature of the facts and the importance of individual responsibilities. This event would bring to our city over 4 thousand participants from all over Italy, including athletes, technicians and accompanying managers, engaged in 21 different disciplines. I continue to be convinced that sport will be one of the factors of rebirth after this horrible moment ”.
On Monday 30 March at 2.30 pm live on Instagram, the students of Vittoria High School with their teachers will have the opportunity to meet Roberto Saviano, as part of the Quarantined lessons cycle that the writer, journalist and screenwriter offers every other day to a Italian school during the Covid19 emergency. To participate, an Instagram profile is sufficient; the title of the event is robertosaviano_official! The meeting will be dedicated to Primo Levi and to the suggestion that reading “If this is a man” can exert on the boys in these days of forced isolation. “To keep alive the sense of belonging and participation that is a fundamental component in a school, we are developing, together with my staff, alongside school activities, some initiatives to involve the children and make them feel less alone”, explains the Principal Marcella Bodo. Thus some data emerged which, summarized in a document (attached), already submitted to the Members of the Academy of Medicine of Turin, were deemed very interesting. In it, the authors suggest to doctors, in association with the well-known general prevention measures, to ensure adequate levels of Vitamin D in the population, but above all in those already infected, in their relatives, in healthcare personnel, in frail elderly people, in guests of welfare residences, in people under a cloister and in all those who for various reasons do not expose themselves adequately to sunlight. In addition, administration of the active form of Vitamin D, Calcitriol, intravenously in patients with COVID-19 and with particularly impaired respiratory function could also be considered
During this period of closure of the schools due to the coronavirus emergency, MIUR continues the work on the national programmed access tests, the entrance tests which take place in September and which regulate access to the nationally programmed degree courses.
