There are three important news for those students who want to join the Erasmus+ program in the next years:

– DOUBLED FUNDING
– NO AGE LIMIT
– ANTICIPATED MONEY

The Erasmus program has been renewed for the next 7 years. Yesterday the European Parliament gave the final green light to the project Erasmus+ for the
years 2021-2027. This program, dedicated to training, youth and sport, will see its funding doubled, going from 14.7 billion in the previous years, to more than 28 billion. In the final phases of the negotiation with the Council, deputies managed to obtain an additional amount of 1.7 billion euros. The new Erasmus+ will offer more instruments and resources that will support inclusiveness. The Commission and EU member states are to present action plans to improve access to learning and mobility for those people who always had fewer possibility to take part in the project.

This includes people with disabilities, people living in poverty or in a remote area or coming from an immigration context.
Subsidies will also be given to those unable to cover the first expenses, for example the purchase of travel tickets or the reservation for accommodation. Furthermore, those applications presenting higher costs due to measures to guarantee inclusiveness will not be rejected.

Compared to the previous Erasmus+, the new program will also be available to students attending adult education programs. This will help people of any age and background to acquire new work and life skills, so that they can better adapt to the changes related to the upcoming green and digital transitions, and to the post- pandemic age of Covid-19. The program, which has already been approved by the Council, will come into effect as soon as it is published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Holden Academy is a degree course (yes, it really is!) that will allow you to obtain a diploma that is equivalent to a three-year degree like DAMS. Clearly, the program and the disciplines are Holden-style. The degree course costs 10,000 euros per year, but don’t be discouraged: Holden Academy also has its special student welfare program, which you could find interesting.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Scuola Holden awards scholarships to applicants with an ISEE (financial situation certificate) value lower than €40,000.
For a.y. 2021-2022 Scuola Holden assigns fifteen 5,000-euro scholarships for each year of course (15,000 for three years).
Two scholarships maximum will be awarded for each test session.
Scholarship winners must present ISEE 2021 Certificate (standard form), confirmed application form and the signed contract within the week we will have sent the results.
ISEE value must be lower than €40,000.
In case the number of applications exceeds the number of scholarships available, the scholarship will be assigned to the student with the lower ISEE value.
Contact a CAF (Fiscal Assistance Centre) in order to get your ISEE Certificate. Get ready in time, even long before taking the admission test, as waiting times could be long. Scuola Holden will only accept applications submitted within two weeks after the day of the admission test.

LOANS
For a.y. 2021-2022 Scuola Holden assigns twenty 5,000-euro loans for each year of course (15,000 for three years) to the first twenty applicants. No number limit for each test session is fixed: all the loans might be assigned after the first admission test session. Once you get your diploma, you have one-year time before starting to repay the loan, in instalments, to the bank. During your degree course you must pay grace period interests. Then you have a 6-month period to pay off your debt (you can do it even more quickly). All of this is possible since Scuola Holden is recognized by Banca Intesa Sanpaolo as one of the schools which can provide loan facilities to their students. For further information contact segreteria@scuolaholden.it.

BONUS MATURITÀ
Students who completed secondary education in 2021 with 100/100 (applies to Italian maturità exam) will receive a 500-euro reduction on their first-year tuition fees. For the following years the whole tuition must be paid.

BONUS “EVERYTHING-AND-NOW”
Students who will have taken the admission test by the end of June and choose to pay for the first-year tuition all at once will receive a 500-euro discount on the three tuition fees. The second- and third-year tuitions can be paid at a later date.

When it comes to the enrolment, everyone (including scholarship winners and students provided with a loan or bonus) pays a 2,000-euro deposit.
One single financial aid (scholarship, loan or bonus) can be received at a time: no combos allowed.

The 30 students that will participate in the challenge “Culture and Tourism in the digital era” issued by Contamination Lab of Turin with the collaboration of Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale” will try to answer questions that are very relevant today, such as “How will the digital change the mechanism to valorise identities and artistic heritage? How will the world of exhibitions and history of artworks change? What changes will the actors of the sector undergo?”

The aim is to come to interesting conclusions that combine culture and technology, two fields that are extremely interconnected today and can enhance
the other’s strengths.
Students will come up with solutions to innovate exhibition modalities and restoration to valorise our city’s cultural heritage. They will start from understanding the various factors relative to a specific ecosystem, always keeping in mind the “new normalcy” we are living in that influences our relationship with our cultural heritage. Thus, the aim is to develop idea to answer to the digitalization of culture and its effects.
