The Collegio Carlo Alberto offers up to ten positions of Allievo. Potential candidates are students who plan to enroll, or will already be enrolled, in the Laurea Triennale (undergraduate degree) program in Economics and related subjects (including but not limited to engineering, mathematics, statistics, political science) at the University and Politecnico of Torino in the academic year 2020-2021.

The Allievi are outstanding students of the University and Politecnico of Torino who are expected to excel in the fulfillment of their university requirements, as well as to participate in additional activities (classes and tutorials) at the Collegio. The program aims at enhancing the students’ education to help them succeed in their future international academic or professional careers. The Allievi program has an established tradition regarding the job placement of its students. Its Alumni now work in prestigious consulting firms, banks and insurance companies or attend some of the best international PhD programs.

The Allievi interact on a daily basis with faculty members and fellows of the Collegio. Moreover, they have access to the Collegio’s facilities and scientific activities, such as seminars, lectures, master’s and doctoral courses.

The Collegio awards individual scholarships and provides study stations to admitted students. Moreover, a mentor, who supervises each Allievo’s studies at the Collegio, is nominated upon enrollment.

In addition to the Laurea Triennale degree awarded by the University or Politecnico of Torino, the Allievi who successfully fulfill the Collegio requirements are awarded the Allievi Diploma from the Collegio.

A group of male and female students has drawn up a handbook for university students containing tips and strategies to make the most of distance learning and to better face the study during these weeks of isolation Smart Learning, the guide created by the students of the Degree Course Master in Work and Wellness Psychology in the University of Turin Organizations, under the supervision of Daniela Converso, Chiara Ghislieri and Claudio Giovanni Cortese, teachers of the Department of Psychology, wants to be a tool available to all students of the Turin University And not only that, in a time when teaching has changed profoundly and everyone is required to be flexible and open to change, it is essential to change their study habits.

The guidelines, starting from the scientific literature, deal with topics such as improving the workstation of choice for studying, motivation, managing breaks and concentrating. By borrowing a concept dear to sports psychology, the study is considered a performance. which can be improved by knowing the right techniques. It also refers to the conscious use of smartphones and other electronic devices, which are useful work tools, but also a possible source of distraction. The guide also contains ideas on how to spend your free time and references to links to institutional and in-depth sites. A key concept that runs through the handbook is that of the importance of the social network. Relationships in universities are considered not only as a way to counter the understandable sense of loneliness, but also as a means to increase one’s motivation and find support in learning.

“The numerous solidarity initiatives that were born and are being born have made us rediscover a deep sense of community. As students we felt the need to do our part “explains Irene Alfarone, student and contact person of the working group.” We therefore thought of making our knowledge of work psychology available to all to help boys and girls like us to manage it. study and feel less alone and disoriented. The guide produced wants to be not only a support, but an invitation to experiment and discover new parts of oneself to treasure for a future in lighter shades. “The Smart Learning guide is available to all students and can be freely downloaded from Kingdom.it portal.
