EIA presentation

The presentation of EIA (European Innovation Academy), a summer school starting from June 2016, will be held on Fri, 1st of April 2016 at 12.00 pm.

EIA is a project aiming at finding out and developing young talented people through experiences of digital transformation and innovation. The project was already held successfully in Nice.

During the press conference, besides students who joined past editions, other important people will intervene:

“TRAME FESTIVAL”

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR YOUNG ARTISTS:

OPEN TRAME.6 CONTEMPORARY ART

Trame Festival will start again and freedom is the theme of the 6th edition of the only festival dedicated to books about mafia.

Protagonists are the book and the literature, which will be brought to squares in Lamezia Terme by journalists, men and women to renew the meeting with social and civil commitment in the land of ‘ndrangheta.

OPEN TRAME.6 CONTEMPORARY ART will deal with freedom, from which you can draw inspiration to write your work (personal freedom, freedom from abuses, freedom from violence, freedom of reading, writing, but, most of all, freedom from mafia).

The winning work will be a symbol for the audience of Trame Festival and will be exposed in one of the open spaces where public meeting will be held.

Application to join the event is available in the website www.tramefestival.it.

Applications have to be sent within midnight of Sun, 10th of April, 2016.

OPEN DAY IN WOMEN PROFESSIONALS’ STUDIOS IN PARTNERS’ COUNTRY EVERY 8TH MARCH

Description: from 2016, every 8th March on the occasion of Women’s Day, women professionals will be invited to open their studios to visitors and present their works and projects.

Objectives: the activity will provide the chance to make new contacts by visiting architects and designers studios and to pass know-how on to different generations.

Beneficiaries: young architects and designers, citizens, design companies, students.

Communication: via social media and the website.

Sustainability: the activity could  be carried on by professional associations beyond the project term.

IAAD ex-student, Adriano Stellino, after graduating in Transportation design in 2009, presents to the 86th Salone Internazionale dell’Auto di Ginevra 2 concept-cars based on his own idea: GT96 –already on the road  – and the AT 96.

Projects originated from a collaboration with the Chinese Techrules start-up, where Adriano works in Shanghai.

After graduating at IAAD, Adriano has worked with prominent companies, such as Fioravanti and Lamborghini.

His first success was winning the  6th edition of  Autostyle Competition contest  in 2009, in the “Sports Cars con versione speciale” category (Sports Cars special version’s category).

The project was awarded as “the best offer in Sports Car category with special version” and received the special mention by the audience attending the event.

Francesco Jodice AMERICAN RECORDINGS. Presentation of Massimo Melotti’s book on Tue 29th of March, at 6.00pm

In American Recordings, Francesco Jodice will discuss the 1900s as the “American century” that shaped the collective consciousness of more generations. Jodice writed a book drawing inspiration from the film with the same title, which was recently showed at Castello di Rivoli. It is a symphony, that includes idols and heroes Made in USA and meditates on the power of images in the cultural processes birth.

“Il bugiardo”, a comedy written by Carlo Goldoni, adapted and directed by Valerio Rinasco, will be played on Tue 29th of March 2016, at 7.30 pm at Teatro Carignano in Turin.

The show is performed by Maurizio Lastrico, Maria Sofia Alleva, Fabrizio Contri, Andrea Di Casa, Elena Gigliotti, Michele Di Mauro, Deniz Özdogan, Nicola Pannelli, Sergio Romano, Roberto Turchetta, Simone Luglio.

Original musics have been written by Arturo Annecchino, scenes and costumes have been created by Carlo De Marino and lights will be directed by Pasquale Mari.

The show, played by Fondazione Teatro Due and Popular Shakespeare Kompany, will be again on the scene at Teatro Carignano, for those with Teatro Stabile di Torino – Teatro Nazionale season ticket until Sun 10th of April 2016.

Drawing inspiration from Menteur by Corneille, which Goldoni had seen while being played in Florence in a rough translation, “Il bugiardo” becomes a remake of an unmistakable play by Goldoni, also thanks to a script with a lively rhythm of the story as well as of the pictures.

Since the play was appreciated and entertained the audience in its debut in Mantova in 1750, it has been included in the opera repertory for all the 1800s.

International Summer School Renmin University of China – application expiry date for participation application: May 31st, 2016

International Summer School Renmin University of China (ISS) in Pechin, offers a range of different programs to students, who want to live a challenging international experience.

Università di Torino, ISS’s partner, will choose the best students interested in attending this summer school. The school program is not only focused on the language, but also on all the aspects of Chinese life and culture. All the courses are in English.

If interested, students have to send their interest in the program and their curriculum vitae in English by May 31st, 2016 by sending an email to Dott.ssa Simona Novaretti: simona.novaretti@unito.it and to Dott.ssa Margherita Poto: margherita.poto@unito.it.

The candidates admission oral test is scheduled for April, 13th, 2016 at 10 am at Campus Luigi Einaudi (2 D3, Aula 9 – Lungo Dora Siena, 100 – Torino).
