We do a lot of laboratories and working groups

I wanted to study abroad, and one of the options was Italy. I chose Italy for its cost of living a little lower than other European countries, and I chose Politecnico di Torino for its well-known name. Albanians and Italians, don’t change that much, but we have our differences in culture though. The food is completely different, and the style of living, having fun, ecc. What I like about studying here is that we have the chance to do a lot of laboratories, and working groups. It helps us consult our results and improve them. The city is very beautiful and people here are very kind. Turin has a lot of parks, wonderful architecture and I love this city. The cost of living is lower than many other European countries, but also lower than some other Italian cities. People are really nice and food is very very delicious. I’d suggest future students to make a lot of Italian friends. It’ll help them with the language, getting to know their culture and getting used to the possible changes from their culture.

I decided to study in Turin because I could my find my favorite course of study here. Actually I do not see a very deep difference between my country and Italy except its government. I like to stay here and I’ m very interested in studying Italian language. The city is lovely and beautiful, I love Italian gastronomy, people are kind and the cost of living is appropriate, but transportation system is weak and costs very high specially for who is over 26.

to study.

I wanted to study art in Italy and Turin seemed to have a good Academy. Many student study in Turin and it has wide range of courses of study to choose. Turin is also one of most lively cities of Italy. The difference is about educational facilities like students accomodation. Many fields of study are not offered in Iran and the choice of courses is limited. Cost of living in Turin is very cheap for students. You can experience every culture here. People from many countries live here and it is very interesting. It is a big city with lively environment and students have many educational opportunity to study. There is, however, plenty of food that can be enjoyed on a student budget. Torino is also the birthplace of dark chocolate, and today, students can enjoy a wonderful variety of chocolates. My advice for future students is to focus on choosing the field of study because it is very important for their future. Before coming to Turin search about practical things like: housing, University, burocarazy, facilities, etc. Also learning Italian is very important because many people in Italy can not speak English very well and it is hard for international students to cope with it.

I like riding my bike

around Turin

I decided to study here because it is cheap to study and live in Turin. Comparing the tuition fees and even the cost of living of most universities and cities in the USA (where many of my high school classmate chose to go) and Europe, Turin is quite cheap. A big factor was also the fact that I had already been in Turin and Piedmont as an exchange student during high school so I already knew the culture, language and basically just how things worked. Everything is different! The food, the people, the landscape, the buildings, etc. If I had to name one thing that is different I guess I would have to say the food. Food is a big thing in Italy, and it’s also a big thing for me. Here breakfast is a simple “brioche e cappuccino” whereas in Guatemala we have plantanos, fried beans, eggs, tortillas, cheese, and much more. Many of the spices regularly used in Guatemala are not to be found in Italian cuisine but that doesn’t mean it’s worst, it’s just different and I love it. Studying in the Polytechnic of Turin is tough but it has given me many great satisfactions. It all pays off in the end and that is the part I’m enjoying the most. Just being able to follow my path to a better life.I really like Turin. It is small but not too small; big but not too big. I like riding my bike around Turin. The cost of living is low compared to other European cities. You can easily get by with a 500 euros on a monthly basis. My advice is: try to find someone who lives in Turin already. Many things, especially bureaucratic things, are not always very straight forward. The university does it’s best to guide the incoming students so you should listen and read the information they give you.
