42 new study places, two study rooms, a shared kitchen, a multipurpose room, new spaces for community life and a fully renovated garden for Collegio Einaudi. This is the result of the redevelopment of the former university canteen of the new Wing of Valentino Residence, located between Via Galliari and Via Ormea.
Already operational since February, the new wing has welcomed deserving students whose average age is 21, from Italy and countries such as Romania, France, Turkey, Nepal and Uzbekistan. It is an international community that brings together students enrolled at the Politecnico di Torino and the Univeristà di Torino, with different study programmes and lengths of stay: ranging from an entire degree programme to a semester or a year as part of international mobility.
Particular attention has been paid to the quality of the facilities, sustainability and technological innovation, through upgrading building systems, improving energy efficiency and integrating the new construction works with those previously completed, including rainwater harvesting and photovoltaic and solar thermal installations. Access to the building has also been digitised and Wi-Fi connectivity has been extended throughout all areas. The refurbishment of the garden has made the space more accessible and student-friendly.
